Your traffic is fine.Your conversionrate isn't.

Paid traffic up, conversion flat, AOV stuck? A Shopify CRO audit finds the three to five changes most likely to move your numbers — a custom analysis of your funnel, based on patterns from 80+ stores. Real findings you can act on, not a templated checklist.

Paid traffic up. Conversion flat. AOV stuck.

You know the exact moment. The monthly numbers come in: sessions are up, ad spend is up, and the conversion rate is the same as last quarter — or worse. You're paying more to acquire the same customers, and the store isn't converting any better than it did six months ago. Average order value has been stuck at the same number for so long you've stopped expecting it to move.

It's the most expensive problem in ecommerce, because it hides. Traffic looks healthy, so the instinct is to buy more of it. But pouring traffic into a store that converts at 1.4% when it could convert at 2.2% just means paying full price for the same leak. The fix isn't more traffic — it's finding where the traffic you already pay for falls out.

That's what a Shopify CRO audit does. Not a generic best-practices checklist you could have downloaded — a custom analysis of your funnel, your data, and your specific drop-off points, ranked by how much revenue each fix is likely to recover. We've run this across 80+ stores, so we know what a real leak looks like versus a vanity metric. Most stores we audit aren't broken. They're losing money in three or four specific, fixable places — usually on the product page, in the cart, and at checkout — and nobody has looked closely enough to name them.

What you get: the audit deliverable

A Proscube CRO audit is a deliverable, not a meeting. Here is exactly what you get:

The audit report

A written report — not a slide deck — documenting what we found, where your funnel leaks, and why. Specific to your store, with screenshots and data, not generic advice.

Walkthrough call

A 60-minute call where we walk you through every finding, answer questions, and make sure your team understands the why, not just the what.

Prioritized action list

Every recommendation ranked by expected impact and effort — so you know what to do first, what can wait, and what is not worth the time.

90-day action plan

A sequenced plan for the next quarter: which fixes to ship, in what order, and what to measure so you know they worked.

Optional implementation

If you want us to build the fixes, we will — on Shopify, headless, or whatever your store runs. The audit stands alone; implementation is your call, not a bundled upsell.

What's in the audit

Every audit covers the full funnel. The specifics we dig into:

Funnel breakdown

Step by step where visitors drop — landing to product to cart to checkout to purchase — with the numbers behind each fall-off.

Checkout drop-off analysis

Where and why people abandon checkout, the single most expensive leak in most stores.

Heatmap & session analysis

How people actually use your pages — where they click, scroll, hesitate, and give up — versus how you assume they do.

Mobile vs desktop

Most DTC traffic is mobile and most stores are still designed desktop-first. We break down the gap and what it costs you.

Technical audit

Core Web Vitals, JavaScript bloat, and load times — because a slow store is a converting problem, not just a ranking one.

Competitive benchmark

How your funnel and key pages stack up against the brands you compete with for the same customer.

Prioritized 90-day plan

Everything above turned into a ranked, sequenced plan you can hand to a team and execute.

How a Shopify CRO audit runs

012–3 days

Data access & kickoff

You give us read access to analytics, the store, and any session tools. We confirm goals and the questions you most want answered.

021–2 weeks

Analysis

We work through the funnel, the data, the session recordings, and the technical layer — finding and quantifying where revenue leaks.

03a few days

Report & walkthrough

We document findings, rank them, and walk you through everything on a call. You leave with a 90-day action plan.

Implementation

If you want us to ship the fixes, we do — and measure the lift. Or take the plan and run it yourself.

What a Shopify CRO audit costs

A Shopify CRO audit starts at $3,000 for the audit and walkthrough alone — the report, the findings, and the prioritized 90-day plan, yours to execute however you want. If you want us to implement the fixes too, audit-plus-implementation engagements run $5,000 to $15,000 — most land in the $5,000–$8,000 range, with heavier builds at $10,000–$15,000. For brands that want continuous optimization — ongoing testing, iteration, and new experiments — CRO retainers start at $5,000/month.

What moves the number:

  • Store complexity: a 30-product store is a faster audit than a 3,000-SKU catalog with multiple templates.
  • Implementation scope: how many recommended fixes you want built, and whether any need custom development.
  • Cadence: a one-time audit is different from an ongoing testing program.

What the audit doesn't include: ad spend, creative production, or a guarantee of a specific conversion-rate number. Anyone promising you an exact lift before seeing your store is guessing. We'll tell you what we expect to find and what it's typically worth — the honest version of this work deals in ranges, not promises.

When not to get a CRO audit

An audit only works if the data underneath it is sound. Hold off — and we'll tell you to — if any of these are true:

  • Under ~1,000 sessions a day. Below that, the numbers move too much to separate a real pattern from noise, and testing especially gets unreliable.
  • Your store changed significantly in the last 30 days. A redesign or replatform resets your baseline — give it a month of clean data first.
  • No analytics, or tracking you don't trust. If the data is broken, the audit becomes guesswork; we'd have to fix tracking before any findings would mean anything.
  • You want a guaranteed percentage. We don't sell those, and an audit isn't the place to start that conversation.

None of these are permanent. Most brands that aren't ready are ready in 60 days — and we'd rather you come back then than pay for an audit your data can't support.

Who this is for

This is for stores doing $500K+ a year with at least 30 days of clean analytics data — enough traffic and history for the findings to mean something. It's for teams frustrated by a flat conversion rate who actually want to act on what they learn, not file another report. If you're spending real money on traffic and the store isn't converting like it should, an audit is the highest-ROI thing you can buy before you spend another dollar on ads.

Who it's not for:

  • Stores under $500K or with thin data. Without enough traffic, the analysis is guesswork — grow first, audit later.
  • Teams who want a number guaranteed before any work. CRO is evidence and iteration, not a promise.
  • Brands looking for a checklist to rubber-stamp a decision they've already made. Our findings sometimes say things you won't want to hear.

If your data is too thin to audit honestly, we'll tell you on the first call.

Yes — most clients start there. The audit, walkthrough, and 90-day plan stand on their own; you can execute in-house, hand them to another team, or come back to us for the build. There's no bundled implementation you're forced to buy.

From the day we have analytics access, most audits take one to two weeks — analysis, then the written report and walkthrough call. Larger or more complex stores take a little longer.

Yes, when there's enough traffic to reach significance. For lower-traffic stores we prioritize high-confidence fixes first — changes where the evidence is strong enough that testing would just delay the win. We'll tell you which findings are test-worthy and which are simply worth shipping.

Then we talk it through — every finding comes with the data and reasoning behind it, so it's a conversation, not a verdict. You know your brand and customers; sometimes that context changes a recommendation. The goal is to find what actually moves your revenue, not to win an argument.

Read access to your analytics (GA4 or equivalent), the Shopify store, and any session-recording or heatmap tools you already use — plus at least 30 days of data, more is better. If you don't have session tools, we can set them up as part of the audit.

No — and be wary of anyone who does before seeing your store. We can tell you what we expect to find and what it's typically worth, and we deal in ranges. What we will commit to: specific, prioritized fixes backed by your data, and the honesty to tell you if your conversion rate is already strong and the bigger opportunity is elsewhere.
